1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files saved in your browser when you visit a website. LinguDay uses strictly necessary cookies for the site to work securely. To understand how the site is used, we use Google Analytics cookies only with your explicit consent.
2. Cookies we use
| linguday_session | Session cookie. Remembers that you are logged in, your interface language and the form security token (CSRF). Deleted when the browser is closed or the session times out. Sent only to our site (HttpOnly, SameSite=Lax; Secure over HTTPS). |
|---|---|
| ld_davet | If you arrived through a member's invite link, stores the invite code for 30 days; if you sign up within that time, you are recorded as invited by that member (Invite Friends). It contains no personal information and is only sent to our site (HttpOnly, SameSite=Lax). |
| linguday_preview | Used only while the site is under construction, for the administrator's preview access (30 days). Not set for visitors. |
| ld_consent | Stores your choice in the cookie banner (accept or reject) for 1 year, so the banner does not reappear on every page. It contains no personal information. |
| _ga, _ga_<id> | Analytics cookie, only with your consent. Google Analytics (Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC) uses it to turn how many people use which pages, and how, into anonymous statistics; it stores a random ID to tell visitors apart (2 years). No name, email or similar information is sent to Google through these cookies, and they are not used for advertising. The data is processed on Google's servers abroad (KVKK Art. 9: explicit consent). |
3. Cookies we do not use
We do not use advertising or profiling cookies, and there are no third-party analytics cookies other than Google Analytics; there are no third-party ads, tracking pixels or social media plugins on the site. The PayTR payment page opened during payment may use the payment institution's own cookies, which are subject to PayTR's policies.
4. Managing cookies
Analytics cookies are set only if you click Accept in the cookie banner at the bottom of the page; if you click Reject, Google Analytics is not loaded at all. You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of the page; if you withdraw consent, the analytics cookies are deleted.
Because you cannot log in without the necessary cookies, no consent is requested for them. You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings, but you will then be unable to log in. If we start using a new type of cookie, we will update this page and ask for consent where required.
